Students of Prague Dance conservatory participated Festival of Art in Japan

 

 

Students from Dance Conservatory of Prague were invited to attend the World Festival of children's theater arts, which took place since 7.30. until  8.6.2008 in Japan - Toyama.
The festival was attended by over 2,000 performers from 18 countries around the world.
Big thanks belongs to excellent organization. Every thing went smooth: performances, workshops, tours, meals, transportation and general care of the participants.
The motto of the festival was Harmony Unity beauty, which was perfectly fulfilled during whole time. The festival was focused on all forms of stage drama, musical performances, mime and many others...

It was amazing to watch all the performers. Some of them were very young, from four years who have shown great artistic talent and excellent skills in selected parts of presentation.We have to appreciate the success of students from conservatory in Prague. School was represented by this year's graduates Magdalena Matějková, Hana Čakarmišová and Jiri Havelka, Michal Krcmar from 7th grade. and two students from 4th grade of conservatory Katerina Placha and Lukas Juras.


Organizers have prepared two program blocks, composed of artistically demanding program,: classical ballet - pas de deux from The Nutcracker, Suite en blanc - pas de deux  (performed by Magdalena Matějková  and Michal Krcmar) contained examples of contemporary dance - Indigo Rose (Čakarmišová Hana and Jiří Havelka) choreographed by Jiri Kylian, Muzika Slovaks: choregraphy - Pavel Smok (performed - M.Matějková and J. Havelka) and Janacek's Suite - choreography by Alena Drapalíková (danced by Michal Krcmar), Polka - choreography Magdalena Kaprasová and Konare choreography Ján Novenko (performed by Michal Krcmar and Jiri Havelka)
 



michal-krcmar---etoile-dancer-prague-dance-conservatory-japan.jpgOur performance was included in the last two performances at the prestigious Aubade Hall in Toyama for 2,000 spectators. On the second show we conclude the official festival program.
Performances Dance Conservatory of the Prague was awarded Standing ovation of the audience. Great recognition of our performance was given by members of the organizing committee and a number of leaders of other groups.
The success is evidenced by the invitation to a similar festival in New Dehli, India.
